Shotgun Slade - Ring of Death

Published 1960

Shotgun Slade is a private detective in the Old West who totes a combination rifle/shotgun. This detective style TV western was unique due to its jazz-style musical theme.

A rancher is murdered after selling his herd for $20,000 and Slade is shocked when the investigation leads to his fiancee.

Subject: Nicely paced story
Shotgun Slade has a hunch that the murdered man's fiance is lying. The story proceeds at an agreeable pace. I enjoyed the story with its accompanying music. This is the first episode ever that I see of the Shotgun Slade series.
